- Described by Waterstones.com as 'one of the most exciting contemporary young writers in Britain today', Guy Mankowski's first novel 'The Intimates' was published by Legend Press in April 2011. It was selected as a 'Must Read' title by New Writing North's 2011 Read Regional campaign. His second novel 'Letters from Yelena' was awarded an Arts Council Research and Development Grant and reached number 61 on Amazon’s Contemporary Bestseller’s In Fiction chart. It was adapted for the stage by the choreographer Dora Frankel. He currently lectures at Edinburgh and Northumbria University, and is undertaking a PhD. He can be followed on Twitter @Gmankow.
